1. I was having an interesting chat with one of my friends and we were talking about the point of going to school.
2. In my opinion, the whole point of going to school is to learn how to live our lives in society.
3. Knowledge can be acquired easily but living skills need to be honed from young.
4. From Kindergarten till now, everyday our teachers tell us what we need to do. We are being made to follow rules. We are being trained to follow the rule of law.
5. In society, there won't be fatherly and motherly characters forgiving us. What we will face is a harsh society where the strong survives and the weak perishes.
6. We will have to fight with others in this cruel and cold world. We will have to fight WITHIN the boundaries of law, or else we'll be subjected to a far more worst punishment that writing lines.
7. There are no such things as true friends in society. Its technically you vs all. People will use us to accomplish their goals. After their goals have been accomplished, they will leave us aside to nurse our wounds.
8. Its a cold world where people will not flinch or regret when they lie. Its a world where there are only 2 options. Use or be used. Those who do not have the necessary slyness will be subjected to others.
9. There is no other way out. The world has become so cruel that no one will care whether or not your wife and children receive warm clothing and food for winter. Mankind has evolved into such an amoral society that in certain countries, children are being FORCED to be filial and treat their parents well. (Eg. Singapore)
10. Its saddening to see parents suing their children in Court. Is that what a once great and noble race like Mankind has degraded into?
11. Sometimes, I think its just the over abundance of freewill we have that is causing so much trouble.
12. There are reasons why God forbade Adam from eating the Apple of Knowledge, for he knows, we humans are too weak to control our urges when we are given the power of knowledge and the freedom to wield it.
12. Freedom spawns evil and selfishness. People have the freedom of thought and they will abuse it.
13. As Murphy's Law puts it, what can go wrong will go wrong. When people have too much freedom in their hands, they WILL abuse it.
14. I do not understand why everything has to be solved through violence. It all comes back to the education we receive when we are young, which brings us back to our original topic, School.
15. I do not believe in over liberalism in schools. I believe that there should be a efficient law system where students are molded into disciplined and orderly humans, not ruffians who do not follow the rule of law.There are reasons why certain rules are set. These reasons should be clearly spelt out and explained to the students so they will not misconceive them
16. Students should be taught how to solve matters diplomatically. Bullies should be punished severely and an explanation needs to be issued after every punishment meted out by the teachers, so that other students do not misconceive. As I said, bullies need to be punished so students will realise that bullying others is bad.
17. Schools are places where the young learn how to live. The childhood and teenage years of a person will influence his/her future years greatly.
18. If the children are not taught properly when they were young how to live their lives as a responsible human being, then Mankind is doomed.
19. However, what that is being taught now by parents and teachers is how to take advantage of other people. The parents and teachers cannot be blamed for this as being streetwise is neccesary for our survival.
20. The world has degraded into such a degree that taking advantage of others is the only way of surviving and it is an IMPERATIVE thing if we want to survive.
21. There is a thin veil separating good and evil. I believe being streetwise is bad. If everyone was to be as naive as the day they were born, the world will be such a perfect place.
22. The only way out for Mankind after so many years of total amorality is the total annihilation of the human race while only a few babies are selected to live. These babies will never know whats being streetwise. These babies will grow up untainted by the fruit of Knowledge.
23. Let us return to the Stoneages, thats the only way out of this corrupted society.
PS: For those who think I lost my marbles when I wrote the above, unfortunately, I have not and I am forced to live in this society and fight on streetwisely.
