1. Christmas Countdowns on the night of the 24th Dec seem to be extremely popular in many areas in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

2. The people flock to pubs/bars/discos to celebrate this so called countdown.

3. To be brutally honest, there is no such celebrations like countdowns to Christmas Day in the Western countries. Countries, we attempt to emulate.

4. Its really nonsense as normally Christians will attend evening mass, have dinner and go to sleep early in order to wake up early tomorrow morning.

5. Us Malaysians, Singaporeans and Hong Kees seem to have invented a new celebration that is unheard of in the Western World.

6. Therefore, Christmas Countdowns are really silly and we should not partake in such a silly notion or risk being made the laughing stock of the rest of the world. God Bless the Singaporeans/Malaysians/Hong Kees for making up such a weird and meaningless thing!

7. Sidenote: My dad went to Hong Kong/Shanghai with Uncle tun hian. It was really out of the blue and we didn't even know he left until my mum told me.
