Recently, I stumbled on a name called Fondy on someone's facebook. Its really a funny name and I was laughing my head off. It reminded me of fondle and reminded evelyn of fondue. Now, it reminds me of some exotic dance.
So I began to share it with my aunt who's a lecturer at a university in Singapore. She told me its no big deal and she has come across many more funny names throughout her long lecturing career.
Take "Relax" for example. My god, my cousin was laughing her head off when her mother was marking relax's script.
"Oxide" is another funny name. I wonder how his chemistry teacher taught him. I mean its weird like "Hey Oxide, name me 5 oxides"
Then, she said her colleagues and her has blacklisted some names and vowed never to use them to name their children and never to let their children go out with these people.
According to her, all the Jasons and Eugenes she and her colleagues have come across turn out to be stupid, fat and greedy idiots.
There was a Jason who forged the date for his mc. Then, it was initially not discovered until he was stupid enough to show the same mc the second time with its initial date blanked out with liquid paper and replaced with a new date.
There was an Eugene who my aunt supervised during his internship in some department store. He shoplifted and it was again not discovered initially, until he found out that it couldn't fit and came back to exchange. So stupid, I mean, aiyoh, steal, steal cleverly lar. As a result, the department manager wanted to end his internship and my aunt had to write a long report. He was eventually let off with a stern warning.
There was another Eugene from my aunt's colleague's class. He went to Brisbane for internship and he was caught at the airport smuggling something in. You know what he smuggled? He smuggled....

3 MANGOES!!! WHAT AN INSULT!Of all things, MANGOES!
Its not as if there's no Mangoes in Brisbane. He even had the audacity to deny that they were his. I mean, if its marijuana or cocaine, its possible that people planted it in his luggage, but mangoes? Who would wanna take the risk to plant 3 MANGOES?!
As you know when you start arguing, you get into bigger trouble. Poor and silly Eugene was deported and my aunt's colleague had to write another long report.
By then, I was already rolling on the floor laughing...
Next on is Jesyln. According to my aunt, all the Jesylns she had taught are vainpots. They like short skirts and wear fake eyelashes. Very cheapskate.
One of them got herself pregnant and had to take 1 semester of holiday to give birth. Since my aunt had no children back then, the idiot had the audacity to offer to sell my aunt her child. My god, the baby is now probably older than my cousin...
So there you go....
Until next time
