This is my last take on this wretched series.
I have come to a conclusion that the whole Twilight franchise is a soapy, dramatic series.
Its totally about a weak, spineless girl who happens to whine and whine and whine about how empty her life is until she meets this 100+ year old vampire who sits on her bed and watches her sleep every night.
The second book, New Moon is a terminally confusing and hopelessly repetitive book. Bella just goes on and on, swooning over a guy who doesn't want her anymore and wailing her heart out while Jacob who is in my opinion, the only character with a normal personality, sits with her and consoles her.
And you know what he got in the end? He got DUMPED in favour of some sparkly vampire who rejected Bella.
If the book was not on loan, I would had tore the pages apart and thrown it out the window. I just cannot stand that stupid Bella. If I were Jacob, I would had eaten her or at the very least, tore off her mouth. After reading the first half, I just couldn't bear her whining and grumbling anymore and fast-forwarded to the ending.
If you think Twilight is a good romance series, you should try reading one of the classics like Jane Eyre, where even after going through hell and back, Jane still held herself together unlike that stupid despo Bella who became a sparkly snob's doormat.
The book is as entertaining as watching grass grow and paint dry. Its so darn confusing and the only reasonably good book in the series was Twilight. I just read on after new moon to see how bad it became and don't even let me started on Edward's abusive behaviour.
If I am a girl, the first thing I'll do when I find out a 100+ year old sparkly vampire sits on my bed every night watching me sleep is to stab him with a garlic soaked wooden cross. For god's sake, Edward even SLEEPS in Bella's closet without her knowledge. That abusive stalker.
And does anyone notice that Bella has absolutely NO life whatsoever other than cooking for her deprived dad and whining about Edward and swooning all over him?
I can write a book on Bella's stupidity.
In the end, one sentence summarizes the whole series:
Bella is such a whiny, unappreciative, desperately stupid drag while Edward is an abusive 100+year old sparkly stalking snob
